2011 national specialty best in show
MBISS GCH KatZ Fashion Finesse at konza, ROM-C
CH Katz Devoted to a Dream x CH Katz Chaotic Clare
Reserve winners at RMBC just to return the next year for Winners!!
Bred by Kitty and James Sawyer (Katz Borzoi) Owned by Kay Cassella and Robert Bates. Finessa needs a full page of her own. I acquired this little beauty at 16 weeks old. I trembled at the first sight of her, I promised Kitty, "I'm going to make her famous." Her show career was short by finishing her championship before the age of two. She garnered 5 majors, one of which was at the RMBC Specialty. I didn't think Finessa was an attractive juvenile so she stayed home until she was four. In 2011 she cleaned-up winning Nationals and ended the year as number one borzoi bitch (number 3 over-all) She was bred three times to two lovely studs, which produced a total of 7 pups, all champions. Finessa was shy of becoming a veteran (age 7) before she was stricken by cancer. There was no heavier heart or greater sadness than losing her to an untimely death.
Out of all 7 puppies, 6 were Specialty class winners and 2 were Specialty Best in show winners. 1 Canada borzoi Nationals BIS
Robert Bates (Plum Creek Borzoi) joined co-ownership of Finessa in May of 2011. He and his wife, Diana, have been fans ever since.

Sam was bred by Debbie Stidham and Karen Wilkin.
Owned by Kay and Paul Cassella. Sam and Aragorn were brothers. He had the most endearing personality. He knew your soul. He was shown limitedly. To his credit he won an AOM at the 2009 Nationals, Select Dog at 2010 Nationals, Group winner and multiple group placing and ended number 5 borzoi in 2010. Sam was never bred. His life was shortened by Cancer. Sam's nick name was "Sam-or-I" |

CH Blackmoor Aragorn
|
Bred by Debbie Stidham & Karen Wilkin. After his show career ended, owned by Paul and Kay Cassella. Aragorn was my husband Paul's favorite. He enjoyed watching deer on TV and was the one who changed the rule about, "no dogs on the furniture." He was near and dear to us and became our first "teenager." He was 10 months shy of turning 14!

aka lance
cordova mishkova warchant x silkwnd's celerina
Lance was the gentle BIG-daddy to everyone who came to Konza. His showed limitedly and finished his championship with 4 majors. We dabbled in lure coursing but quickly learned to "play" on the field, which was not part of the rules. Lance lived 5 months shy of turning 12. He was owned by Kay and Paul Cassella and Cindy and Tom Clemons. His nickname was "Lancer Pants."
In our hearts and minds forever.
we will never forget who touched our lives and left everlasting memories

My First Borzoi, Misty, my first Breeding was to CH Attaway Shooting Star Creset, "Buddy." Sadly, neither Liz or Sheridan were bred.
Bailey was bred by Frances Geary. Owned by Kay and Paul Cassella and Cindy and Tom Clemons. "Bailey Boy" needed a major win to finish his championship. Unfortunately, gone too soon of unknown causes before the age of three.
Gina had garnered 5 majors to finish, was a multiple Group placing and a National's Award of Merit winner.
