Welcome to borzoi on konza prairie

I own, exhibit and occasionally breed Borzoi, formerly known as the Russian Wolfhound. I have been a member of the Borzoi Club of America since 1999 and a member of the Manhattan Kansas Kennel Club since 1990 and AKC Breeder of Merit. Thank you for viewing my website.

I enjoy traveling with friends, the fanciness of the Borzoi, and of course, the camaraderie. I do not breed often. However, I can refer you to other breeders. When a planned breeding is scheduled, the sire and dam are health tested for inheritable diseases. Puppies are born in the home and socialized daily.  My goal is to produce lovely Borzoi with sound bodies and temperaments. Go ahead and fill out a puppy application and once I review it, I will reach out to you and we can talk!

CH Seabury's Pristine mist
AKA Misty
Bred by: James SIllers

Misty came to Konza when she was 13 months old. She taught her novice-owner, Kay, how to go around the ring. All it took was to stay out of her way and not fall. Misty was shown limitedly and finished her AKC Championship with a 5 point major (owner-handler all the way) She was bred one time and produced 2 puppies, Liz and Sheridan.

There aren't enough affectionate words to describe how much we cherished her.

Jessie:   cd 1992

Jessie was purchased from an ad out of the local newspaper (I do not recommend that). I wanted to do an activity with her and the Manhattan Kansas Kennel Club members taught me how to work toward our first AKC title. I have been hooked ever since.

Addy finished her Companion Dog Excellence (CDX).
This pose was what we wanted. It was her bow "farewell" to the show-world.
Addy was retired!

Addy was my first show dog. She gave me the reason to go to AKC events. She earned her Companion Dog Excellence (CDX) title in 1997 and was then retired at the age of five. I knew she preferred to stay home. GOOD DOG, Addy!
